Engineering development (design and simulation) of the loading table, double robot manipulator, and modification of the current buffer.

PROCESS

The project for Magna Autotek consists of the design and simulation of an engineering change, focusing on ensuring precision and efficiency in its implementation. This process includes key activities such as reviewing and defining the layout, analyzing mathematical models, and validating GD&T specifications to define clamping areas.

  • Review and define layout
  • Review and define mathematical models for the project
  • Review GD&T to define clamping areas
  • Create a design draft and present it to the client
  • Modify the design based on client feedback
  • Present design approval
  • Create 2D drawing
  • Finally, present simulation and submit the project

Project: 24PL Metalsa-Toyota Tacoma Chassis

Software design, commissioning, and production line optimization.

This project included two production lines with more than 200 welding and material-handling robots, presenting the challenge of designing software to flexibly produce over 15 chassis models continuously.

Adapted to meet the production demands of the automotive industry, this project was executed continuously over 18 months. It involved software development for automation equipment and communication interfaces between operators and workstations.

The commissioning and cycle time optimization processes were carried out during different stages of the project to ensure the complete delivery of equipment at the final plant facilities in Guanajuato, Mexico.

This project posed a significant challenge in automation, ensuring product traceability throughout the production line, process reliability at each station, and the flexibility to produce all existing models with minimal model changeover time.
